Current & Updated Deadlines for IRS Forms

September 10, 2015

Not being aware of deadlines or changes in deadlines when it comes to filing tax returns and related forms (along with their respective payments) can further increase tax expense due to penalties and interest payable in case of late filing or late payment. Additionally, preparing for your taxes early not only keeps you ahead, but also provides your tax preparer with additional time to prepare an optimized and complete tax return.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recently changed the deadline of several important tax forms.  These new deadlines will go into effect starting in the 2016 tax year and going forward (effective for tax returns with tax years beginning after Dec. 31, 2015). Here is a list of the deadlines for some of the common forms to be filed by taxpayers, both individuals and corporations.
